blue pacific sushi & grill. Hands down the worst sushi meal ever. Old, stale rice, horribly unfresh fish, eel microwaved three feet in front of me by the sushi "chef" and crap wine. This restaurant would never make a sushi lover out of anyone. Horrible unfriendly atmosphere and worse food. DON'T GO!

I use to be a loyal customer here as well but the service is the worst and I agree with the last post especially. The asian bartender is an a** and has no clue what customer service is...let alone manners. I will never go back. A few weekends ago was my last dime spent there. I wrote an email and just like the others on here I got nothing- I literally got no response whatsoever! And I also agree food is now "hit or miss." I took a date there 2 visits ago and she got sick and I have heard from many who no longer go there they have had issues with food quality too (wish I would have known earlier).
Take the reviews on here to heart. AVOID THIS DUMP! Let it go out of business as it deserves and it's employees go back home.
Dying - Avoid this dump.
This place use to be good. Now it is all but dead. First off the food is now hit or miss. And at their prices- which are high for NYC, let alone Lancaster, PA- you're crazy to go anymore. Sashimi use to always be fresh and good. Now you are at risk. Last few times I have had sashimi brown on edges and/or smelled. I have sent back items last 2 times in. I have yet to be sick but I stopped going because while the food is hit or miss and the service is HORRIBLE!
The problem is with their asian servers. Both are worthless. The last (by my refusal to let her "serve" us again) time the female with glasses "served" us she left our sushi sitting waiting to be picked up for 20 minutes until I finally got up and went to sushi bar and got it myself. Then she got mad....as I told her, it's been there for 20 freaking minutes ...bacteria is likely gone made reproducing...she is horrible. We should have just walked out then. The other asian server the guy with glasses is a rude ass! I sent something back and he refused to take it off the check (how much do you tyhink he got tipped?)! I can understand why they would want asian servers to seem like Blue Pacific is "authentic" but that choice is to blame for a lot of people no longer going and their reputation in the mud. The owners obviosly don't care because they never respond to complaints in email and when called on the phone no one cares. Bottom line- eat at your own risk, do not sit in a section served by either of the above mentioned servers. Only goodnews is no need for reservations. This place has been all but empty since spring (it's now fall). I will never go back. My money will not support low quality food at NYC prices and horrible rude service!
NEVER AGAIN!!. I figured we can try a new sushi place. Not that our favorite one has something wrong with it we just wanted to see if there are any more sushi places close to us. The server was not very friendly and never came to see if we needed refills or even check if everyhing was fine. We payed alot more than we expected because the server automatlically added 18% on top of our check for gratuity. Like he was worth it!! I was not going to give him a tip but he helped himself. Never again will we ever go and I will tell everybody that they can go to another place for GOOD sushi. Our avocados were brown and our wasabi sauce was brown too. I got sick from this place.... literally.
A very bad experience - Do not go!. We decided to try Blue Pacific on Sunday afternoon. We ordered several appetizers which were ok and ordered some sushi. It arrived and had a very strong smell that fresh sushi shouldn't have. We tried a few and it was just rancid. I asked the waitress if we could try something else and she brought out a fresh plate. These were just as bad. As I was getting up from our table, I dropped my napkin on the floor and reached down to pick it up. I noticed near the wall was a large cockroach which was the final straw. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.
Fresh fish. We have been to this restaurant about 4-5 times. The food is ALWAYS great and the service is exceptional!
Get the discount coupon. We frequently visit this place. There are great coupon deals on restuarants dot com for this place. I think the food and drinks are over priced but if you get the coupons it's so worth it. They have great sushi, along with the other dishes we have tried. The servers are great!
Decent, but not Exceptional. Overall, it wasnt a bad experience, but the sushi was merely ok. The wine list is also fairly average, but the markups dont seem to be TOO bad, maybe 3x if you buy the bottle, by the glass its more like 5x-6x though, which seems abit high. I would consider going again, but wouldnt go out of my way to go back.
If you're a sushi lover and have had sushi outside of Lancaster County, then you'll know that this place is insanely overpriced for the quality.
It's basic and typical. Nothing special. Yet they charge you!!
Going down hill....
My husband and I have eaten there 3 times in the past 2 years. The first time, the food was outstanding. Our sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, our entrees were hot, delicious, and served promptly. Our drinks were mixed well.
On the second visit, my entree was almost room temperature before it was served. We were less than pleased. We thought we would give it another try in the spring of 2006 and we ordered primarily sushi. It was awful, and had a horrible fishy odor. We left most of it on the plate. My vodka tonic was weak and tasteless.
If it was up to me, we wouldn't go back, but we forgot that we had been given a gift card for Christmas, and...call us cheap..we may just give them one final chance.
The restaurant appears clean, the atmosphere is pleasant, but this is far from our favorite. I
f you want excellent sushi and asian fusion entrees, try Wasabi in Willow Street. The food is outstanding, the sushi melts in your mouth...just BYOB if you want adult beverages.
