Headline.
Good food, good service too. But, I,too, am very upset about the little store behind the restaurant banning the book about the silver mine. I have the book and it's wonderfully written. It is the best story ever written that includes Conestoga, Pequea, and the silver mine in particular. Shame on the owners for book-banning!

Wonderful place for food...but....
Always liked the food and service in the old days and now again. I am greatly dismayed though that the little store behind the restaurant refuses to carry and sell copies of the excellent novel about the Pequea Silver Mines by Christopher Haefner. They had in June 2011 but now he tells me that refuse to sell them anymore. Why? Mr Haefner lectures all over Pa and other states telling the history and when he worked there when it began in 1974! The book is wonderful!

Great customer service and homestyle cooking..
When you first walk in, you automatically feel welcome. The hostess greets you, but you are taken-a back by the exqusite decor, which in fact, is all for sale. In most cases you will not wait very long, unless it's on the weekend. The service is fast, and the food is all homemade. It's great amish/mennonite cooking. Every night they run an all you can eat special. Wednesday nights is alll-you-can-eat potpie...which is amazing. You will enjoy the experience of the entire evening. And when it is time to leave, you will be one of the family....the Conestoga Wagon family!
