Bad management. I was in the last few weeks and seen how the assistant manager was very rude to one of the staff members there. I have later contacted the stylist and spoke to her about how she was being treated there. I now work for the Lancaster newspaper and will make sure everyone I work with know how mistreated this individual was from Elan. I will not be going back until I hear that management has changed. Such a shame how this place was voted a nice place from others because I do not see it. I will never go back there and will make sure others I work with will cancel any future appointments there. Management needs to be more professional.

Top salon/spa in Lancaster for a reason. There is a reason Elan has been one of the top salon/spas in Lancaster County! They've been around more than 20 years, which you hardly ever see these days. My friend gave me a gift certificate for my birthday, which I used in their lovely spa, and I had the best facial I've ever had, and I've been back a number of times, and taken my sister & my friend from work, and they loved Elan too! My skin just glows & I feel so relaxed after the massage & aromatherapy that they do with every facial. My friend gets her hair cut & colored here, and she said after her original stylist moved away, she kept coming back, and she said they don't mind at all if you go to more than one stylist (some salons the staff is so competitive that they make you feel bad if you want to take an open appointment with someone new!). She loves the Aveda hair products, & her hair looks very healthy, so she's doing something right. The owner is a man, by the way, so I'm not sure if the bad review here might be from a troll or not? The front desk staff is always friendly, and I think if you had a problem, they'd do anything to make you happy. I wish I could afford to go here every week, but I definitely treat myself when I need to be picked up.

Bad Service, Clueless Owner. Bad service, less than desirable skill set, and the owner is completely unaware of what it means to be in the service industry. I have had two bad haircuts here (I know-I should not have gone back for the second one) and just today, when the front desk failed to schedule my appointment for the correct service, they refused to give it it to me, and told me they did not have the time to accommodate my request. This would lead you to believe the stylist had a following appointment, but no...they just wanted to go home. This would be OK, if I were requesting something new or different, but I get the exact same hair service every time.

Terrible Customer Service. I went to the salon because it was recommend to me and I had a great massage. So, my sister and I got a gift certificate for our friend for her 30th birthday. They scheduled her appointment wrongly, so it was rescheduled. This morning when she woke up she felt ill and called to reschedule, they rescheduled her over the phone. Hours later the manager called to tell her that because she missed two Saturday appointments she would be charged for the full massage amount and wouldn't be receiving the massage services. The fault lies with them in the scheduling for last week. The manager would not hear our friends position and accused her of lying about the scheduling and what she was told on the phone. My sister then called and got the same reception. What was supposed to be a relaxing, refreshing birthday gift for an overworked mom has turned into a nightmare.

So Relaxed. What a great experience! From the moment I walked in the door until I finished my services everyone treated me wonderfully! I look forward to all my appointments at Elan. They whole staff is friendly and professional
