Professional Stylists.
Jannat's is a great place to go. The staff is always friendly and genuine, the conversation is always open for anyone to join in, and the stylists always demonstrate a personal interest in the client, you. I've been to many salons and as an African American woman it's always been difficult to find people who are willing to teach you how to take care of your hair without criticizing you.
Like Briannasmom, Tricia is my favorite. She always asks my opinions, encourages me to take risks, and tells me what I'm doing right with my hair. She always makes sure she has plenty of time for my hair, and my family's if necessary and makes sure that I'm satisfied. She is truly a professional and asset to the salon with a knowledge that you as a customer, represent her work. I've never been kept waiting or been made to feel like I'm just a customer. I dread the thought of having to go anywhere else.
Best and Most comfortable PROFESSIONAL cultural hair salon in Lanc.. Going from 15 years of doing "my own" NATURAL hair, to this salon was a (personal) challenge. I did not know anyone; did not know if they had "experience" or if I'd even like the stylists personally. Now, that I've been a STEADY customer for 1.5 yrs, I'd not even consider going elsewhere. Let's start from the door: you are actually GREETED and not ignored....I had been told to sign in & sit down at other local salons. I am African American, and the shop is BI-lingual, so that helps as well. I went to another shop and I was the only person who could speak English. You can imagine how hard it was to explain what I wanted done. Third, the stylist not only "styles" your hair, but looks out and treats the OVERALL "HEALTH" of your scalp, and hair. Ladies, the conversation is good, the stylists are professional and the prices are EXCELLENT. I would recommend this shop to anyone, White, Latino, black, etc. I've lived in 4 states and have gone to numerous hair salons....this one ranks right along with a salon I frequented in the Bronx, NY. Way to go girls! I'll ALWAYS be a customer! -Kitty Kitty
Just Make Sure You Find The Right Stylist. Well, I'm going to speak honestly about MY experience....i went here for a pretty long time and was never truly 100 percent satisfied..when i first started going there my hair was unpermed and my roots and edges were still thick after the flatiron job..one time i got braids (top half of head) and the stylist didn't even flatiron my hair before braiding..sorry..but no one has ever braided my hair while it was still thick..it looked like it was in for a few days when in reality i just stepped out of the salon..maybe the stylist i had wasnt used to unpermed hair..so i permed it and continued going there thinking the experience would be better..it wasnt..everyone's experience is different..unfortunatley my experience caused me to stop wasting my money and i just got micro braids for the summer.....
Best Salon. I took my 10 yr. old daughter there last Saturay to get a trim and style that was age appropriate. The stylist Tricia did a GREAT job. My daughter loves her hair and the trim was just that, a trim. I recommend this salon highly.
