VIOLATION OF PRIVACY and Discrimination. Any black card member GUEST must put their FULL name, COMPLETE address, DATE OF BIRTH and member ID number on a sign in sheet. This information will be made available for PUBLIC scrutiny.

The above was my families concern and so when we saw other customers writing just there FIRST NAME and only the CITY or ZIP CODE we decided to do the same, being afraid of any attempted identity theft or becoming a target in general.

After deciding to just put ones first name, zip code and member ID number, Terry* an AM employee said she wanted me to fill everything out completely, even though there were OTHER CUSTMERS WHO DIDN'T. I later received a call saying you need to fill out everything. We explained our CONCERNS AND FEARS to no avail. So we decided to fill everything out but not in neat hand writing in order to protect our identities.

We received another call stating that we needed to fill everything out CLEARLY! I expressed my concerns & the supervisor stated that she will have them put the sign in sheet in the drawer & a paper over the confidential information. However Terry*, the AM employee CONTINUED TO LEAVE THE SIGN IN SHEET OUT, making us available to public scrutiny. Before filling out the form we would ask Terry* about putting it in the drawer. Terry* immediately became upset with us, stating that SHE'S NOT putting it in the drawer! I informed Terry* of the conversation with the supervisor & she then agreed reluctantly. We filled out the form & then she tosses the pad in the drawer very annoyed! Such conduct made us feel uneasy. I later talked with the supervisor & she said she would talk with Terry*. Unfortunately it didn’t change Tracy’s problems. Next time we went to the gym, Terry* leaves the sign in sheet out in the open. I expressed my concern to her & she said in a RAISED VOICE that she will NOT PUT THE SIGN IN SHEET IN THE DRAWER. So out of fear we put only the first name, City, DOB & the member ID number. She immediately says YOU MUST PUT YOUR LAST NAME! We calmly mention to Terry* that MULTIPLE other members on the same sign in sheet didn’t put there last name or street either. We clearly felt TARGETED by Terry*!

Well to make everything worse, we explained in a letter to management our feelings & concerns. Mike# a manager called us a day later to tell us that our membership has been CANCELLED! That's how customer concerns are treated at Planet Fitness! Mike# clearly showed himself to be an incapable manager who made a very poor decision! Terry* never greeted us & always seemed to have an issue with my wife & I. We believe the evidence points to INTER-RACIAL profiling since multiple other members DID NOT provide all the details in the sign in sheet; still we were harassed by Terry* to provide any & all private information for public scrutiny! One time my wife had a jacket during the winter on the railing and there were other customers with jackets on the railing as well; yet despite this my wife was the ONLY one told to put it away in a locker; all other customers were allowed to keep them out . We were targets and the discriminatory evidence strongly points to Terry* of Millersville Planet Fitness, Lancaster PA as an individual who has something against inter-racial families! Planet Fitness showed themselves to support this idea.

We BELIEVE that disclosing private information to the public is UNWARRANTED and DANGEROUS!

The CONTRACT specifically stated “sign a guest registry” (number 3, section D). There is no clause that states that one must disclose confidential information such as a home address, date of birth, coupled with a last name and then that Planet Fitness has the right to make such information available for public scrutiny. I adhered to my contract & get a phone call saying that my membership has been cancelled!!! BUYER BEWARE!
